The names Composite, Composite bond

Composite bonding, also known as tooth or dental bonding, is a procedure that addresses minor damage or gaps in teeth, such as chips, fractures, gaps, or discolouration.

An option when you have a tooth that needs to be restored to its original appearance or if you want to change the form shape and colour of a tooth completely

This resin is similar to paste and will look natural once accurately shaped. Once the resin is shaped correctly, it hardens under a blue light.

FAST AND EFFECTIVE

Composite bonding is a quick and efficient cosmetic dental procedure that can often be completed in just one visit to the dentist. It is a great solution for fixing minor dental imperfections such as chips, cracks, gaps and discolouration.

The composite material used for bonding is applied to the affected tooth and then hardened using a curing light, which ensures that the tooth can be comfortably used for biting down by the end of the appointment. This makes composite bonding an ideal choice for those looking for a fast and effective way to improve their smile.

NON-INVASIVE

Bonding is a type of dental procedure that is non-invasive. Unlike alternatives such as crowns and veneers, bonding doesn't require the permanent removal of any part of the tooth. In composite bonding, the surface of the tooth is roughened to help the resin bond to it, but the structure of the tooth remains intact.

Before getting composite bonding, it is recommended that you undergo any teeth whitening treatments first. The composite resin used in bonding is matched to the color of your teeth, so it is best to have them whitened to your desired shade before starting the bonding treatment. Once the composite bond is in place, it cannot be whitened further.

The process 💎

The process 💎

To begin the treatment, I will select a resin color that matches your tooth as closely as possible to ensure that the attachment looks how you want. After that, your tooth will be prepared by gently roughening its surface and coating it with a special liquid that helps the resin adhere smoothly.

Next, the resin will be applied and moulded into the desired shape. After it is shaped, it will be cured with a special light and then shaped again to ensure that it blends in seamlessly with the rest of your tooth. Finally, it will be polished until it matches the texture and appearance of your natural tooth.
